You can take the Hoosier out of Indiana but you can't take Indiana out of the Hoosier

The summer months are truly spectacular in the Midwest. The birds sing, the fields green and bountiful, the firefly's come out to wink at dusk. The best thing about home are all the wonderful people I know and love. When I go home, I can feel God's touch everywhere.

This was Steve's first adventure to the great state of Indiana! We met him at the airport in style, the Cruise master rolled up with Snoop Dogg bumping and a vehicle full of smiling faces so happy to have him there. Oh, and a cold Stella :)

Steve got the full experience, we rode 4 wheelers, watched firefly's, lit fireworks, enjoyed a concert in a barn with 200 locals, road road bikes with Mom and Court, walked up to the home we grew up in, took a tractor ride with Dale, and had Sunday Dinner at the Stephen's house. Here are a few picks from our adventure. Ron, thank you for getting the Tour so we could watch every morning! We will post more pictures via a gallery soon.. Love you all and miss you tons, can't wait until next year.

Dale, Kim and I at the part-ay

The stage in the barn. Christmas in July was the theme of this party

Road Kill Bill and Amy....

The after party, fun to be had, laughs and more beer!

Oh the silly fun we have. Who said you can't canoe on land? Bob is a genius

A lazy morning for the bisc and his daddy

The bisc needed some daddy time this morning. He was just so cute we couldn't make him get down.

the tomatoes are coming... the tomatoes are coming!

They keep on growing, they must be close to 6.5ft tall now. We let the neighbors know they could feel free to pick any that grow on their side of the wall. We'd also bring them some too.

Ta Da! World meet our first fruits :)
We are getting some beautiful heirlooms, yellow romas, and yellow cherries. They are so good, pretty soon we'll have our hands full and will need to try canning them.

Another fine meal...

I picked up this wonderful cooking magazine called "Clean Eating". I was very impressed by all the recipes and use of fresh foods. We decided to try this delicious pork chop marinated with balsamic, honey, and rosemary served with grilled peaches. We thought we'd try a Rose we got from Palmina winery. It was very tasty and not sweet at all which was surprising. Another culinary success!
